OnlineTelie is a large online business who sells a large variety of automobile parts for a wide range of makes and models.
For each manufacturer is a different theme which matches the look and feel of the manufacturer’s brand with a desired result of creating what seems like a separate site for each manufacturer. The task at hand was to expand online presence into a new sub-niche of automobile spare parts, Nissan.
You’ll notice that for each manufacturer the domain name is the same however the site looks completely different. This is by design with SEO being the key influencing factor. By hosting several online stores on the same domain, the domain authority and backlinks flow through to each store hosted on the domain. By using this approach when a new site is launched the time and effort for the new pages to rank well in search engines is minimal.
In addition, whilst the target audience is global, the bulk of the traffic comes from English speaking countries and Germany. It therefore made sense to create a manual translation of the site in both English and German to dominate rankings in the corresponding search engines, and simply use Google’s automatic translation services for other not so common languages.
